Welcome to a space where your journey and well-being are my top priorities. I believe in creating a warm and supportive environment where you feel truly heard and understood. My approach to therapy is centered around you—meeting you exactly where you are in your life. I recognize that everyone's path is unique, and I am dedicated to walking alongside you with compassion and respect. Whether you're seeking clarity, healing, or simply a safe space to explore your thoughts and feelings, I am here to support you every step of the way. In our initial sessions, we will focus on building a strong, trusting relationship, as this connection forms the foundation for any therapeutic work we undertake.
To support you on your journey, I offer a variety of therapeutic approaches, to ensure I can customize our approach for your needs. Below, you'll find descriptions of the different modalities I use, to tailor support. Whether you’re looking to process past experiences, find relief from distressing emotions, reshape your thought patterns, or improve relationships, I am here to guide you with the right approach for your individual journey.
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)
EMDR is a guided approach that helps you process and find relief from distressing feelings, or troubling memories. Through the use of what is known as bilateral stimulation or dual attention stimulus (most commonly conducted with guided eye movements or tapping, though other options can be used to fit the client's needs), EMDR helps reduce the emotional charge of thoughts or memories, allowing you to heal and move forward with greater ease.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
CBT is a practical, hands-on approach that focuses on understanding how your thoughts and feelings influence your actions. By identifying and challenging negative thought patterns, CBT helps you develop healthier ways of thinking and behaving, leading to positive changes in how you feel and act.
Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT)
CPT is designed to help you understand and change the way you think about traumatic experiences. By exploring and reshaping your thoughts, CPT aims to reduce the impact of past experiences on your present life, helping you build a more balanced, free from the effects of trauma.
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
ACT encourages you to accept and embrace your thoughts and feelings rather than fight them. By focusing on what truly matters to you and taking action aligned with your values, ACT helps you build a fulfilling life, even in the face of challenges and difficult emotions.
Emotionally Focused Individual Therapy (EFIT)
EFIT focuses on exploring and understanding your emotional experiences. Through a supportive and empathetic approach, EFIT helps you connect with and process your feelings, promoting healing and emotional growth by addressing the root of your emotional struggles.
Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT)
EFT is aimed at improving emotional connections and understanding within relationships. By fostering open, honest communication and addressing underlying emotions, EFT helps build stronger, more supportive relationships, enhancing emotional bonds and resolving conflicts.
Internal Family Systems (IFS)
IFS explores the different parts of yourself that influence your thoughts and behaviors. By understanding and harmonizing these internal parts, IFS helps you resolve inner conflicts, improve self-awareness, and create a more cohesive and balanced sense of self.
